FILLER INJECTIONS
Dermal filler has been used for years to add volume to the face and restore a more youthful appearance. Lip filler, cheek filler, and filling lines and wrinkles around the mouth are a few popular areas patients often request treatment.
There are three main building blocks to our skin: collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid. Collagen and elastin are the "box spring" and are responsible for keeping the skin firm and elastic. Hyaluronic acid is the "pillow top mattress" of the skin and it keeps the skin plump and soft. Aging, genetics, and lifestyle cause all 3 of these building blocks to diminish over time. Many people will start to notice wrinkles, sagging skin, and volume loss.

The majority of fillers contain modified hyaluronic acid which is injected beneath the skin to help restore volume, smooth wrinkles, and add contour.
IS FILLER SAFE?
Dermal fillers have been used for years and are considered a very safe treatment when done by a skilled injector. Filler is composed of hyaluronic acid, which occurs naturally in our skin cells. Hyaluronic acid based fillers are reversible and can be dissolved if necessary.
HOW LONG UNTIL I SEE RESULTS?
The best part about filler is results are seen immediately! This allows us to place the filler exactly where we see fit throughout the procedure.

WHAT KIND OF FILLER DO YOU USE?
Fillers are not "one size fits all." Just because you use Juvederm Ultra XC in your lips does not mean that you can use it under your eyes. We carry all different types of filler, including Juvederm® and Restylane®, so that we have the most appropriate filler on hand to address your area(s) of concern.

HOW LONG DOES FILLER LAST?
The majority of fillers last between 8-12 months. Some patients may be able to go longer between injections. The longevity depends on the type of filler that was used and how quickly your body metabolizes it.
